Technology To Transform Your Smile

cleveland dental technology

Our team wants to provide the best care we can, which is why as part of your diagnosis and treatment we often use advanced technology. From digital x-rays to single visit crowns, we can help you enjoy your bets possible smile. In today’s blog, your Cleveland, TX, dentist talks about our transformative technology.

Digital Imaging Systems

Instead of traditional x-rays, our team can offer treatment with a digital alternative, one that uses 80% less radiation. These systems also don’t require the images to be developed in harsh chemicals, which means we can display them chairside instantly. This means you time in the chair, and is also better for the environment. We can easily transfer them to specialists and other offices, and we can walk you through the diagnostic process.

We also have intraoral cameras, which we use to see the entirety of your mouth. A tiny camera sits at the end of a narrow mouth piece, so we can gather multiple images from several angles, and combining them to create a detailed 3D impression of your smile. The fiber-optic light that is attached will illuminate the hard-to-see portions, and display the images on a monitor. We can then make a diagnosis with precision and accuracy, and of course, easily transfer them to specialists or other offices as needed.

Clear Orthodontics

Using advanced technology, we can also offer a straighter smile without relying on metal braces. Instead, we can gather detailed digital images and employ them to design and craft a series of clear aligners, each set custom-fitted for your smile. You then wear a set for two weeks, 20 to 22 hours a day, to straighten smiles in as little as one year. They’re also removable, which makes mealtime and brushing and flossing much easier too!

CEREC Restorations

We don’t need two to three visits to complete restorations and prosthetics like dental bridges. Instead, we can design, craft, and place them in only one visit. To begin, our team will use intraoral cameras to gather detailed images of a prepared tooth, one we’ve removed structure from. The images will be used to create a 3D impression, so we can design the restoration or prosthetic. We then upload the information into an onsite CEREC milling machine, which fabricates the completed product in the same sitting. Next, we check the fit and attach your crown or bridge. These will be made from ceramic, which is not only strong and durable, but can be color matched to blend with the rest of your smile!
