The Advanced Tech We Use To Treat Your Smile

cleveland dental technology

To help provide optimal treatment for oral health issues of all kinds, our team will employ advanced technologies. From making an accurate diagnosis to securing a restoration in one visit, this can make your care more convenient and effective. In today’s blog, your Cleveland, TX, dentist talks about our dental technology.

Crafting Same-Day Restorations

When a tooth is damaged, or suffering from cavities or infection, then a restoration in the form of a full crown could be necessary to prevent pain and preserve smile beauty. In the past, this could involve two to three visits to complete. But! Our team can actually design, craft, and place them all in a single visit. The process uses the CEREC CAD/CAM system. Essentially, we will prepare the tooth by removing structure from it and then taking detailed digital images of it. We use the images to design a 3D computer model of the restoration. The information is then uploaded to the onsite CEREC milling machine, which then crafts the restoration from a solid block of ceramic. The result is a restoration that looks natural and is shaded to blend with the smile. This can also absorb daily bite forces and pressure, offering years of quality repair.

Digital X-Rays and Intraoral Cameras

To diagnose your smile and plan treatment, we need to take a close look at your smile. With digital x-rays, we use a fraction of the radiation to gather images quickly and comfortably, showing them chairside instantly. This lets us see issues not visible to the naked eye. We also employ intraoral cameras to gather digital images of the surfaces of the smile. These images mean a more accurate diagnosis, treatment with better precision, and we can easily send them to specialists if needed.

Invisalign®

Our team can also employ advanced tech to create a series of clear plastic aligners. With Invisalign®, you obtain treatment for misalignment without the use of metal braces. Instead, these clear and comfortable aligners gently shift your teeth in as little as one year in some cases. An even smile means one that inspires confidence, and is also healthier too.
