Perhaps you have heard of something like the Prescription Take Back Program before! If you’ve ever asked yourself what you’re supposed to do with unused, expired, or unwanted medicine before (because you’re pretty sure there’s a responsible and not-so-responsible way to dispose of it), then this event in our Cleveland, TX community is your answer. It’s going on for just one day, so be there!
About Prescription Take Back
Remember that when you throw medication in the trash, down the toilet, down the sink, etc., it can make its way into our local environment and waterways, which can mean a negative impact for our entire community. Fortunately, getting rid of the medicines in your home safely is easy to do when you bring them to the upcoming Prescription Take Back Program, hosted by the Cleveland Police Department!
When It’s Happening
This one-day program will be taking place on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 10am to 2pm.
Where To Drop Off
You may anonymously drop off your medication at Cleveland City Hall, which is located at the following address:
907 E. Houston
Cleveland, TX 77327
In addition to bringing prescription medicine to properly dispose of at this drop off program, you are also encouraged to drop off OTC medication, unused medication, medication you cannot identify, and more, preferably left in original containers. This includes medicine for not only humans but also for pets.
You will not be permitted to drop off needles, any type of waste, or thermometers.
