Checking In On Checkups: What Are They?

You know that you need dental checkups two times a year with our practice because we remind you every time we have the chance! However, whether you’ve not had a checkup in a very long time and, as a result, feel fuzzy about the details … or if you really just aren’t sure what’s going on when you’re in the dental chair … we can help. The details of this procedure are simple to understand and their significance quickly becomes apparent as you learn more. Let’s cover the major highlights!

We Talk With You

When we first see you for your dental checkup, we will talk with you. This is a wonderful time for you to bring up any changes that you have noticed. Don’t be shy! Speak up, even if you are a little embarrassed. Sensations, visible changes, and more can all let us know that you may need care for a particular issue.

We Examine Your Smile

Next, we will examine your smile with a thorough approach as we proceed with your dental checkup. We’ll look at it with our eyes, we’ll use advanced dental imaging to see what’s happening between, within, and beneath your teeth, and we will provide you with an oral cancer screening, too. Remember: This is all completely comfortable!

We Make Care And Treatment Suggestions

If we detect any type of change, we will inform you. Then, if you need to make changes at home with your care, we will provide clear instructions. If you require a treatment from us, such as a filling, bruxism treatment, or anything else, we will make our suggestion!
