Saving Your Smile With Advanced Technology

cleveland technology

We want to help people of all ages maintain good oral health and beautiful smiles. To do so, our team will employ a number of advanced technologies, from digital x-rays to same-day dental crowns. In today’s blog, your Cleveland, TX, dentist discusses our advanced technologies and treatment options!

Digital Imaging Technology

Our team wants to make a diagnosis with precision and accuracy, so we can assess the current state of your smile, identify areas of concern, and plan treatment to ensure optimal results and a beautiful smile. To see what’s beneath the gums and the interior of the teeth, we could use digital x-rays. These systems use 80% less radiation and are available instantly chairside, no waiting for development in harsh chemicals. We can walk you throughout the diagnostic process, and easily send these to specialists and other practices as needed. To examine portions of the smile that are hard to reach, we could use an intraoral camera. A miniscule camera at the end of a thin wand, along with a fiber-optic light, allow us to quickly and easily reach the rear teeth and then transmit the images to a large chairside mentor. To create 3D images of the soft tissues, nerve tissues, sinus cavities, dental structures, and bones, we could employ the CBCT Cone Beam system, an advanced x-ray system.

Same-Day Dental Crowns

With the CEREC system, our team, can create a dental crown in only one visit. We first numb the tooth and gently remove structure from it. We then take detailed images and use them to craft a 3D model, one far more accurate than a traditional physical impression. The information is then uploaded to a CEREC milling machine, which crafts the finished product from a block of dental porcelain, which we shade to blend with your smile. In the same sitting, we attach the finished product with a powerful bonding agent.

Invisalign®

Correcting misalignment doesn’t have to rely solely on metal braces. Instead, we can help create a series of plastic aligners, which gently shift your teeth into proper position and remain practically invisible the entire time. You can remove them before meals, or prior to brushing and flossing, and they’re easy to clean and maintain. Optimal results often take as little as a year to obtain. If you have any questions about how we treat poor alignment with Invisalign®, or about our dental technology, then contact our team today to learn more.
