A Chance To Brighten Your Smile

cleveland teeth whitening

Do you want your smile to look its best during the holiday season? Then you may benefit from our professional teeth whitening options, which brighten smiles by several shades! In today’s blog, your Cleveland, TX, dentist talks about the dramatic results our teeth whitening options can provide your smile!

The Causes of Your Teeth Stains

What causes teeth stains to appear? Factors vary, but this could be linked to sugar drinks and foods that encourage plaque and tartar buildup making stains more visible. Drinks with dark pigments are also factors, such as coffee, tea, red wine, and soda. Smoking cigarettes or using other tobacco products can stain your smile as well!

Our Teeth Whitening Treatments

We have two different teeth whitening options, and we will help you choose the best one for your smile. If you need results quickly, we could discuss our in-office option. The Sinsational Smile system involves applying a special bleaching gel to your teeth, which we activate with an LED light. This begins the process of breaking up and removing teeth stains, brightening smiles by several shades in as little as 20 minutes. We then send you home with a special pen that provides touch ups, so your results can stay dramatic for longer.

We could also brighten teeth by up to eight shades from the comfort of your own home. With our home-based teeth whitening treatment, our team will take detailed digital impressions to create a set of plastic trays. We then send these trays home with you, along with syringes filled with a bleaching gel. At home, you will fill the trays with the gel and wear them for about 30 to 45 minutes a day, over a period of about one to two weeks. The trays and remaining gel are then yours to keep for touchups as needed!

Masking Permanent Discoloration

What if you have intrinsic stains, which can be caused by certain medications, injury to the teeth, or fluorosis? These form beneath the enamel and could be difficult to remove with teeth whitening. But our team can still brighten your smile! With dental bonding, we can use composite resin to mask stains, the same material used in our fillings. Porcelain veneers are lifelike and thin restorations added to the font of each tooth, instantly changing shape and color.

If you have any questions about how to brighten your teeth, or if you would like to schedule a visit before your 2022 dental insurance benefits run out, then contact our team today to learn more.
