Dental Crowns Can Offer Stunning Results

cleveland dental crowns

Our team offers custom restorations to address minor or major damage, and to address concerns like tooth decay. We take time to ensure they look great and fit comfortably, and our team can actually offer results in only one visit. In today’s blog, your Cleveland, TX, dentist talks about our dental crowns!

Full and Partial Crowns

We have both full and partial options. A full crown covers the entire tooth structure, everything above the gum line. We can use this option to address a variety of severe cosmetic and restorative issues, returning optimal health, function, and beauty to your smile. A partial addresses cases too severe for a filling, but that don’t require a complete restoration yet. The inlay fits in between the cusps on top of the teeth, while the onlay fits over these cusps. All are made specifically for your smile, the custom-made ensuring a proper fit and a balanced bite, and limiting the risk of issues like tooth decay and infection.

Lifelike Materials

When possible, we want to use lifelike materials to repair your smile. We can use ceramic to create your full and partial restorations. Not only is the material very strong and able to handle daily bite forces, but this can also be color matched to blend with your smile seamlessly, so you can smile with confidence. In fact, with CAD/CAM technology, we can create and place your restoration in only one visit!

The CEREC System

No need for two to three appointments. Instead, we will use CEREC to complete the process in only one visit. To begin, we will administer a local numbing agent to ensure you feel comfortable. Next, we will gently remove structure from the tooth and take detailed digital images, which we use to create a 3D impression. This is far more accurate than a physical impression, and you don’t have to bite down on a sticky mold! We then upload the information into the onsite milling machine, which crafts the restoration from a solid block of ceramic. Our team will check the fit and make any necessary adjustments before we attach the crown with a powerful bonding agent. The entire process only takes one visit!

If you have a tooth that needs repair or aches, then let us know. A visit now can allow you to use your 2022 dental insurance benefits before they expire, or put your remaining health savings funds to work. That way you obtain treatment before the hectic holiday season, and can start 2023 with your best possible smile!
